Performance Incentive Payment Program (PIPP)

Performance Incentive Payment Program (PIPP)

Collaborative Projects in the Care Centers of the River Valley Health Network

Our current collaborative project is to decrease the prevalence of infections, including urinary tract infections, and improve antibiotic stewardship in the resident population in our care centers. The project will include decreasing the prevalence of overall infections, including urinary tract infections, as well as implementing antibiotic stewardship.

Some of Our Past PIPP projects include:

Improving the quality of life for our residents & quality of care provided by staff through reduction of psychotropic medications given to residents and reducing incidence of resident behavior problems by increasing staff understanding of residents with dementia and improving behavior management skills.

Improving resident and family satisfaction by developing relationships and establishing open lines of communication about medical history and preferences of the residents.  Families are important to the care of the loved one, and value positive interactions with staff.

Improving the resident’s physical functioning and quality of life through the collaborative development and implementation of an enhanced, individualized resident-centered nursing restorative program which enhanced the quality of life and maximized physical, mental and psycho-social well-being of resident s in the care centers.

Improving patient care in the area of Pain Management. Create pain management care plans that assure residents pain is controlled. Use of Non-pharmacologic measures to help relieve pain such as aromatherapy, massage, exercise etc.
