River Valley Health Network Executive Director

DEPARTMENT:  Administration

HOURS:  1.0 FTE Full-time/Exempt

SUPERVISOR:  CEO’s of JMHS, MHS, AAH, CCM Health and the RVHN Board of Directors


JOB SUMMARY : Individual is responsible for overseeing and developing collaborative products, programs and services. Individual must be capable of providing project administration, including development of budgets, creation of agendas, scheduling of meetings and recording of minutes for staff meetings held for the purpose of accomplishing the collaborative goals and objectives of the products, services and programs of the RVHN. This position is responsible for creating an annual budget, to be presented for approval by the RVHN Board of Directors. 


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversee the process of cooperation and collaboration between RVHN members.
  2. Provide administrative expertise, organizational skills and strategic planning for collaboration, development and support of various products, programs and services; creating grant proposals when appropriate.
  3. Assist facilities in creating an organizational culture that will support collaboration on various products, programs and services.
  4. Advise, inform and report to CEOs and their delegees, as well as the RVHN Board of Directors on the status of RVHN products, programs and services.
  5. Provide budgetary oversight for the RVHN and any RVHN programs that are funded with grant dollars; prepare required reports to funders; oversee the annual IRS 990 tax filing and the annual filing of the RVHN annual report with the MN Secretary of State.   


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is indoors in the typical office setting. Position requires the ability to use a variety of computer programs. Individual must be able to develop and submit grant proposals. Must be comfortable working in committee settings and be able to use both verbal and computer communication skills to move projects forward across departments within and outside of the RVHN member organizations. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed. Must have own car available for travel.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Background in administration is required with an understanding of organizational processes. Background in Healthcare administration is preferred. 
  2. Must be able to effectively communicate ideas and have a sense of vision for program development through strategic planning.
  3. Must have budgetary and office management skills and computer proficiency, specifically in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and virtual platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.
  4. Must have skills in face to face, telephone, email, texting, and remote virtual communication.
  5. Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule, attend evening meetings and conferences, using own vehicle for travel (IRS mileage compensation is provided when travel from office is required).
